This diagram establishes the areas of ministry that will lead us to submit, celebrate, and proclaim. As Paul tells us in Colossians 3, “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Jesus.” For this reason, all areas of ministry are connected to worship, which is both corporate and private, because everything is done to glorify the Triune God.
We adhere to the three ecumenical statements of faith as professed by most Christian churches. They are the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed. These were written long before the Church divided into various branches.
We also adhere to the four statements of faith that are distinctly Reformed or Protestant confessions. The first three were developed in the 16th and 17th centuries, and the Belhar Confession was developed in 1982.
